In previous editions of Blood Bowl, players were defined by Stats, Skills, and Traits. As of the Blood Bowl Competition Rules v6, however, Traits have been merged with Skills. As a result, the number of Skills has grown somewhat, and a number of new Skills have been added to the game that veterans of earlier editions may not be familiar with.
The current version of the game categorizes each of the skills into broad categories. These include: Agility Skills, Extraordinary Skills, General Skills, Mutations, Passing Skills, and Strength Skills.
A general listing of these skills follows below. Articles will be added over time to help define each of the skills.
Many players begin the game with one or more starting skills. These may be increased after earning Star Player Points (or "SPPs.") Generally speaking, all of the Skills may theoretically be gained with the exception of Extraordinary skills, which are unique to the player types and Star Players to whom they are assigned and may not normally be earned in any other way.
